This photograph of the alignment of the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars was taken April 6, 2000, around 8:35 EDT, on HWY 204 just west of Savannah, Georgia. This 7 second
exposure, using 400 ASA Fuji Superia film, shows the WTOC-TV transmitter tower to the left of the celestial alignment. While
taking this picture, I noticed a red glow in the north. I took a picture of the glow, which turned out to be a rare
low latitude showing of an aurora. See image on the Aurora page.

This photograph was taken October 11, 2000, around 7:17 pm EDT, at Tybee Island, GA, on the beach, just east
of Savannah, Georgia. This 10 second exposure, using 200 ASA Fuji Superia film, shows the Shuttle Discovery, STS-92 rising above
the horizon.
