Census states that Jasper and Mary L. had 9 children with 7 living in 1910.
All were born in Georgia, and all spoke English.
Jasper worked on his own account and owned a house.
NOTE: Jasper James Peevy died November 14, 1913, leaving a wife with 3 minor
children at home. Mary L. received $1,115.00 for a year's support from the estate.
This is recorded at the Effingham County Courthouse, in Springfield, Georgia.

miles on the left as you go to Springfield.)

- bedsteads and bedding

- chairs and tables
- and all other furniture not mentioned, but in the possession of Mrs. Jasper J. Pevey.
NOTES: At the time of Louisa Pevey's death 2 years later, the land was valued at $1000.
The Springfield Public Road referred to in this text is Highway 119.
NOTE: There is a license and marriage recorded for James Jasper Peevy and Sarah Gross on January 16, 1879.
This is an unsolved mystery.
