ABOUT OAA
All OAA programs are free and open to the public!
The OAA is Savannah's group for those interested in astronomy and space science, continuously active for over 40 years.
OAA members range in experience from those just getting started in astronomy to individuals actively conducting
leading edge research in space science, so everyone with an interest in astronomy is welcome.
(Since we spend a lot of time looking at clouds, those interested in meteorology are also encouraged to attend!)
Dues are $20.00 a year and subscriptions to Astronomy and Sky and Telescope are available at group rates. The OAA is
also a Member Society of the Astronomical League. This home page contains meeting times, upcoming events, and other
information of interest.

The OAA meets at Boland Eye Clinic, 1615 E. Montgomery Crossroads, at 7:00 PM, on the second
Thursday of each month, unless otherwise posted. After the business part of the meeting, there is usually a program
relating to astronomy or space science. These programs range from how newcomers to astronomy can get started, to technical
presentations on the latest in space science.
